whataboutfish. is a study on the effects of overfishing and unsustainable fishing practices on the Great Barrier Reef. The aim of this project is to generate awareness on this issue and help ignite change through creative practices. An extensive body of work is to be published in 2017, in the hopes that positive environmental change will occur in a small way.
This book is a collection of some of the species that live in the Great Barrier Reef that cannot defend themselves against overfishing and unsustainable fishing practices. By reading this book, you are extending your knowledge on how to further protect these species and save one of the most beautiful natural ecosystems in the world.
48 individually stippled drawings were created throughout the course of this project and included within this book, accompanying many marble paintings that were created to collaborate effectively with the drawings.
